What would you put in Mitt Romney’s gift basket?
Mitt Romney is out of touch with what regular Americans are going through. He needs a reminder that while he meets with high-end donors and attends lavish parties at the RNC, many Pennsylvania families are struggling. We need to bring Mitt back down to reality.
A group of Pennsylvanians will be doing just that when they visit the RNC in Tampa to represent the 99%. They’ll be bringing a “Gift Basket from the 99%” to remind Mitt Romney that the Romney-Ryan vision for the economy is bad for working families. What items do you think best represent the concerns of the 99%—you know, those of us who don't have car elevators, dressage horses and five homes?
Here are a few of the items already in the gift basket from the 99%:
- Work boots worn to a job moving machinery from companies that have shipped jobs overseas.
- Empty pill bottle from life-saving Diabetes medicine paid for by Medicare, not Ryan “coupon care.”
- Tax return from a PA taxpayer who pays their fair share and is not ashamed to share their return.
What would you add to the gift basket? Add your (real or suggested) item to the basket and help us give Mitt Romney the gift of reality. And please forward to your friends.
Thanks for taking action.
