5 New York Democrats Hold Up Healthcare

5 Democratic Members of Congress from New York - Michael Arcuri, Scott Murphy, Mike McMahon, Eric Massa, and Dan Maffei – are holding up healthcare reform.

We need 5,000 New Yorkers to sign the petition telling them:

"Healthcare for all should come before protecting the wealthy.  Support Obama's Healthcare plan."

UPDATE: Amazing! We passed our original goal of 5,000 signatures. Can you help us get to 7,500?

This crosses all political boundaries. I know people of every political bent who want to see a fair policy that takes care of people first.

7072 September 30, 2009 gabrielle lamourelle Please do the right thing and support health care for all. Our current options in the private market deliver mediocre care at high cost. We CAN have good care at affordable costs if we cut out the middlemen! Stand up for Democratic ideals and support comprehensive health reform.

7070 September 17, 2009 Christine Verber 1. Number one responsibility of a democratic government is the Health and Safety of its citizens.

2. Healthcare is a moral issue.

3. We can SAVE a trillion dollars!!! ($1,000,000,000,000 - is that enough 000s and dollars?) of taxpayers' money when we stop subsidizing the health insurance companies. And we would have better healthcare and health results..

7064 September 03, 2009 Audrie Sturman Yes this is so important, beyond bickering and petty politics. Bring us into the 2ist Century,
so many progressive and civilized countries have already done so. Concern for civic duty not silliness.

7062 September 01, 2009 John Cunningham It is a disgrace that the United States does not have universal health care for its citizens. Every other industrialized country in the world has universal health care coverage. And the health outcomes of those systems, from life expectancy to quality of life, to the cost of medical care is superior to what we have in the United States.
Your support is critical to the success of the pending of health care reform legislation. It may not be a perfect bill, but it's a step towards achieving more cost effective, universal health coverage for all Americans. I urge you to back this effort and to encourage your constituents to do the same.
