When the Swine Flu outbreak hit NYC, health officials and even President Obama told us to stay home if we felt sick. But for the 1.8 million New Yorkers who don't get a single day of paid sick time where they work, that may not be an option. The Working Families Party is supporting a law that would give every worker in NYC the right to take time off from work when you or a family member gets sick - without losing your pay or risking your job.
