Our healthcare system was strained before the economic melt-down.
Too many people are under-insured or uninsured and our system discourages the preventive care that keeps people healthy. We spend far too much and get too little in return. Our healthcare system is endangering families, choking small businesses and raises local taxes too.
On Election Day, we sent a message that it's time for change. Now it's time to send our leaders another message: it's time for a healthcare system that allows every family access to high quality, affordable coverage.
SIGN THE PETITION:
"The time for healthcare reform is now. Every family should be able to see their family doctor when they need too without going broke, and get high quality, affordable coverage."

| 133 | March 16, 2010 | Sandra Garrettt | we have an 11 year old daughter with NO insurance because the state says we make too much...but our bills say otherwise, so we live paycheck to paycheck and pray that we or our daughter doesn't get sick. We also have an 18 yeazr old daughter and a 21 year old daughter, who can not afford to pay for insurance, but don't qualify for state insurance because they choose NOT to become Mothers right now. The system is completely backwards! |

| 112 | December 20, 2008 | Anonymous | I'm thankful that I rarely need to see a doctor. Even though my bills are covered by medicare, the chances that i'd be able to find a competent doctor to help me are small. We need more than *access* to health services. We need enough people able and willing to offer it at a fair rate. |
